PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to evaluate/diagnose a signal transmission system, optimize a transmission/reception parameter and increase the sensitivity of a receiver, when the transmission speed of signals is accelerated. SOLUTION: This receiver is provided with an offset impressing means 5 for supplying known offsets Voff+ and Voff- to input signals V+ and V- and a decision circuit 3 for comparing the input signals supplied with the offsets with a reference voltage. From result of the decision circuit and the known offsets, the level of the input signals is confirmed.
