PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital echo removing device. SOLUTION: The digital echo removing device used for a high-speed two-way communication system includes an adaptive beam former which has multiple stages for estimating an inputted receive signal in the style of a finite impulse response filter and estimates a front part varying speedily with echo path impulse response by adaptively estimating the inputted receive signal and an orthogonal infinite impulse response filter part which inputs the estimated signal outputted from the adaptive beam former and estimates the rear part of the echo path impulse response according to the infinite impulse response. Consequently, the impulse response of an echo path is estimated only by tens of taps, so the calculation quantity and the necessary number of memories are greatly reduced to make the convergence speed fast and the stability high.
