PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address transition detecting circuit capable of preventing a malfunction of memory even when pulses short in pulse width are inputted as an address signal. SOLUTION: This address transition detecting circuit has an address transition detecting part which detects the transition of an address signal and outputs a detection pulse and a pulse width expanding part which out puts a control pulse by expanding the pulse width of the detection pulse. The pulse width expanding part has at least a delay circuit delaying the detection signal by a prescribed time and a logic gate which composes the detection signal and the output signal of the delay circuit and outputs it as the control signal. The delay circuit is constituted of at least a delay element whose threshold is changed so as to extend the pulse width of the detected pulse in accordance with the polarity of the detection pulse or is constituted by connecting delay elements of two or more in series.
