PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever-type connector, which enables easy contact of levers, prevents provisional engagement means from being broken, and is easy to handle. SOLUTION: In the lever-type connector 21, a lever 24 rotatably assembled with a rotation shaft 26 of a male connector 22 is engaged with an engagement portion 40 of a female connector housing 23, and the lever 24 is pivotally handled, so that the male and the female connector housings 22 and 23 are assembled with each other. The rotation shaft 26 has assembling plan portions consisting of a pair of plan surfaces 26a and 26a, which are cut in parallel to each other. Further, in a shaft hole 31 of the lever 24 assembled with the rotation shaft 26, guiding grooves 33, through which the assembling plan portions can be inserted, are formed toward the periphery of a front end 28 of the lever. Therefore, when protuberances 36 protruding from a flexible arm 35 of the male connector housing 22 are engaged with the guiding grooves 33, the lever 24 is prevented from rotating, but is in an engagement state.
