PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which enables to stabilize writing operation in an emitting display of a group of blue, green and red discharging cells, and to avoid turbidity of a display emitting and/or miswriting. SOLUTION: The gaps between a scanning electrode 6 and a holding electrode 7 are varied according to the emitting colors of the opposed fluorescent layers. The gaps are set to Dr>=Db>=Dg, if the gap between the red color fluorescent layers is Dr, the gap between the green color fluorescent layers Dg, and the gap between the blue color fluorescent layers Db.
