PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved optical inter-satellite communication system. SOLUTION: For the optical inter-satellite communication system which transmits a modulated laser beam (3), two separate ranges of a band are provided so that a 1st range is used for a narrow-band synchronous channel (31) as to the transmission of synchronizing frames having a constant data rate and a 2nd range of the wide band (32) is used for a transparent link, and the synchronous channel (31) includes sync bits for a local oscillator of a receiver.
