SYSTEM FOR MANAGING ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an article managing system by which the location of an article is easily detected so that the position of the article is detected in real- time and the article is prevented from being illegally carried out in addition to a conventional lending management job. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a radio IC card 20 which is attached to a book 1 to be stored in a shelf and which stores prescribed information concerning the book 1 and outputs the stored information as a radio signal, a loop antenna 30 which is disposed at the proper position of the shelf to receive the radio signal from the radio IC card 20, a reader/writer 40 for reading information from the card 20 based on the signal which is received from the loop antenna 30 and a host PC 100 for managing the book 1 based on information which is read by the reader/writer 40.
