PURPOSE:To effectively use a display screen without omission of a video by projecting the video of other external device on a screen part on which the video is not produced according to the difference in an aspect ratio when projecting the video of an existing standard television. CONSTITUTION:On the screen 11 of a high definition display 25, the video projecting part 12 of the existing standard television and the video projecting part 13 of the external device such as a door camera, a video tape recorder are provided. Signals are respectively inputted from an existing standard television signal input terminal 21, and an external device video signal input terminal 26 and the conversion of a signal such as the respective scanning conversions is carried out by a signal converter 23 and a synthesizing video is formed by a synthesizing screen forming device 27. The signal and the signal of a high definition television system inputted from a signal input terminal 22 are changed over by a change over circuit 24 to display on the high definition display 25.
