PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common platform for positional information service corresponding to integration of networks. SOLUTION: A positional information service section 40b of a gateway sever 40 acquires positional information of portable units 10, 20, 30 generated in different expression forms from a positioning center 50, converts the acquired positional information into an expression form that can easily be handled by IP servers 80A, 80B, etc., via a positional information converter 60 and informs the IP severs 80A, 80B, etc., about the positional information after the conversion. Thus, the IP severs 80A, 80B, etc., can acquire the positional information of the portable units 10, 20, 30 without notifying the difference from the expression forms.
