PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for lighting operation keys eliminating unevenness of lighting in large operation keys such as scroll keys. SOLUTION: In a structure for a lighting operation comprises operation keys being formed of transparent material on which letters, symbols and figures are printed on the surfaces thereof, a case being formed with an opening for fitting the operation keys from inside of the case, switch board being provided with a contact type of an electric switch and light emitting elements for illuminating the electric switch and the operation keys, the electric switch being activated by pressing the operation keys, a rubber sheet being interposed between the case and the switch board and biasing the operation keys to the case and transferring the pressing of the operation keys to the electric switch and being provided in light guiding plate for guiding light from the light emitting elements to the operation keys, the electric switch of the switch board being disposed below at least upper and lower ends of the operation keys, the light emitting elements being disposed at generally the center of the operation keys, and a printing being performed on the rubber sheet for hiding a certain area which a point type of light source is visible from outside when the light emitting elements are turned on.
