PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system where a confusing effect of an arrived call that may be given onto a meeting on progress can be minimized and a user of a wireless phone can minimize inconvenience of a caller of the arrived call. SOLUTION: The telephone set includes an answer-and-hold function. The telephone set replies an arrived call depending on the entry of the user, outputs a greeting message in response to the arrived call and keeps the connection state. Thus, the called party can modestly hold the call to be in the connection state until the called party reaches a convenient state of conversation entry. For example, the wireless phone of this invention includes a controller, a user entry unit and a message transmission unit. The controller allows the message transmission unit to output a specific transmission message in response to the arrival of the call and a specific instruction from the user entry unit. The controller maintains the connection state of the arrived call so that the user can communication with the caller at a point of time after the greeting message is started.
