PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple color cathode ray tube which is capable of damping vibration of a shadow mask by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A vibration damper 11 that is not secured to a shadow mask 5 is mounted to the shadow mask 5 in a movable state has notches 15 and is bent at the notches 15 to form a frame shape.
