PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, that can revise contents of information transferred between devices interconnected via an analog signal line through the use of a video blanking interval VBI, depending on a connection opposite party. SOLUTION: When a video signal including prescribed information (command, additional information and video ID information or the like) is transmitted between a 1st device (STB with HY terminal) and a 2nd device (VCR having provision for HY or TV having provision for HY) via an analog line for the vertical blanking period (VBI), the contents of the prescribed information in the video signal (command, additional information and video ID information or the like) sent from the 1st device to the 2nd device is changed, depending on the model of the 2nd device (whether the 2nd device is the VCR having provision for HY or TV having provision for HY that is certified legally or a device that is not certified legally) (ST6-ST9 in Figure 20). |
