PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a custom IC motor controller for a brushless motor wherein control on soft start or quick start can be easily changed without changing a custom IC even if the characteristics of the motor are varied, and a soft start function and a quick start function are integrate with each other so as to enhance the efficiency of soft start and quick start. SOLUTION: With an input of a rotation instruction signal, a soft start circuit 22 charges an external capacitor C3 with a current IS1 based on an external resistor RS1. When the potential of the capacitor C3 exceeds a specified value, the soft start circuit charges the capacitor C3 with a current IS2 based on an external resistor RS2. At this time, the voltage of the capacitor C3 is sent out as a soft start waveform. At quick start, the capacitor C3 is charged with a current obtained by adding currents IS3, IS2, and IS1, and the waveform of the capacitor C3 at this time is sent out as quick start waveform. |
