PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit a catalyst layer from excessively being wet by properly exhausting water in a cell due to easily exhausting extra moisture created by cell reaction from an electrolyte film of solid polymer electrolyte membrane and a catalyst layer to a reacting gas side and controlling evaporation speed of moisture by controlling water vapor saturation of the reacting gas. SOLUTION: A proton-exchange membrane fuel cell system comprises a spreading electrode 103 for spreading fuel gas and a spreading electrode 104 for spreading oxide agent gas, at least one 104 of the spreading electrodes 103, 104 is arranged with a porous of a gas spreading plate 104s, a water repellent as well as a conductivity of a porous layer 104b and a catalyst layer 104a in due order, the thickness of the porous layer 104b being less than 10 μm (not including 0 μm). |
