PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a millimeter wave isolator having a small insertion loss and great isolation. SOLUTION: This isolator is provided with a dielectric waveguide having a cylindrical part and an expanded part, with which at least one part of the distributing direction of an electric field is opened, and deformed continuously from the cylindrical part to the expanded part, a cylindrical ferrite magnetic substance coaxially located around at least one part of the cylindrical part of the dielectric waveguide and spontaneously magnetized in the circumferential direction so as to generate ferromagnetic resonance, and a metal casing internally having the dielectric waveguide and the cylindrical ferrite magnetic substance.
