PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control circuit which allows a motor to be appropriately protected. SOLUTION: When a load limiting portion 16 detects first overcurrent, a phase control unit 32 limits power application to a motor M. In addition, a current limiting circuit 40 detects second overcurrent lower than the first overcurrent, and when the second overcurrent has been sustained for a specified period of time, the phase control unit 32 limits power application to the motor M. Thus, not only when large current is instantaneously passed through the motor but also when current over rating is continuously passed, power application is limited to protect the motor. |
