PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain natural and desired legato performance by using retrigger sounds when a performer leaves his or her hands off the keys. SOLUTION: This electronic musical instrument having a single sound priority function is provided with a touch detection value storing means for storing a touch detection value related with a depressed key, a priority key selecting means for selecting a first priority key from among the keys depressed when the keys are released, a musical sound generating means for generating a musical sound corresponding to the first priority key selected by the priority key selecting means, a volume calculating means for calculating the volume of the musical sound generated by the musical sound generating means based on the touch detection value related with the priority key stored in the touch detection value storing means and the touch detection value related with the latest key, and a sound issue controlling means for controlling the musical sound to be issued with the volume calculated by the volume calculating means. Thus, it is possible to attain legato performance with the volume without any sense of incompatibility to performance until that time. |
