PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make visually and easily graspable both recorded and unrecorded areas of an optical disk which is writable and rewritable data. SOLUTION: The optical disk drive 10 includes a disk driver 12 under a slot 18 into which an optical disk 20 is inserted to revolve the disk 20 at high speed and also to write, rewrite, erase or read the data to a recording surface 22. The driver 12 detects the information on both data recorded and unrecorded areas of the disk 20. On the basis of these detected information, a printer 14 prints the data recorded and unrecorded areas in different colors on the label side of the disk 20. Thus, these recorded and unrecorded areas can be visually and easily discriminated from each other. |
