PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the operability of power varying operation from becoming worse due to the large influence of the optimization of a focus cam on the movement track of a variable power lens. SOLUTION: This zoom lens device has a zoom cam cylinder 108 which rotates on the optical axis for the cam driving of variable power lenses L1, L3, L4, L5, and L6 along the optical axis for power variation and a focus cam cylinder 138 which rotates on the optical axis for the cam driving of a focusing lens L2 along the optical axis. When the power is varied, one of a zoom cam cylinder and a focus cam cylinder is driven to rotate and the other cam cylinder is also driven to rotate by the former cam cylinder. The one cam cylinder (zoom driving cylinder 108) is provided with a cam cylinder interlocking part 108e which drives the other cam cylinder (focus driving cylinder 138) to rotate while varying the rotating speed of the other cam cylinder when the power is varied.
