PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an amount of flash of refrigerant at a refrigerant inlet port of an evaporator for use in evaporating refrigerant of freezing cycle. SOLUTION: A group of plates 10 constituting a plate type evaporator is divided into a cooling section I and an evaporating section II in a flowing direction of refrigerant. Refrigerant is heat exchanged from each other at the cooling section I to cause the refrigerant to be cooled with evaporating latent heat of the refrigerant, thereafter the refrigerant is flowed to the evaporating section II, and then at the evaporating section II the refrigerant is evaporated by heat exchanging operation between the refrigerant flowed from the cooling section I and the heating fluid.
