PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device for remotely reading a meter, which can be fitted to a use-integrating meter installed already and is capable of reading by eyes and reading by a device without being affected by the influence of external light. SOLUTION: In the terminal device 1 being a video terminal device of the display part of the use-integrating meter 2 of electricity, gas, water, etc., installed at a consumer's residence, the front surface of at least the displaying part 4 of the meter 2 is covered with a cover 3 forming a film 10 reflecting IR and transmitting visible light beam, an IR emitting device 14 is fitted within the cover 3, and an IR electronic camera 16 is fitted within the cover 3 to see the part 4 directly or through the film 10.
