PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spread spectrum communication device which can acquire FH(frequency hopping) at high spread. SOLUTION: According to the outputs of a data coincidence decision circuit 7 and a highly stable clock oscillation circuit 8, a hopping pattern phase control circuit 9 sends out the phase control output of a hopping pattern to a hopping pattern generator 10, and its control is excepted at intervals which are several times the transmission hop intervals and the matching of a frequency is detected at high speed irrelevantly to whether the hop timing of transmission and reception is advanced or delayed.
