PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the convenience in the case of collecting sound while maintaining conventional functions. SOLUTION: The sound collector connected to a portable electronic device is provided with a microphone section 10 that collects sound, a jack 30 that is connected to the microphone section 10 via a connection cord 20 to supply a sound signal picked up by the microphone 10 to the portable electronic device, and an engagement pin 41 and an opening 31 that support removably the jack 30 with respect to the microphone section 10.
