PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bulb which can prevent a filament coil from being broken to lengthen the lifetime thereof. SOLUTION: A filament coil 5 is disposed within a bulb 1 having an envelope member 4 at one end thereof. Both ends of the filament coil 5 are connected to one ends of a pair of induction wires 7, 8, respectively, and the induction wires 7, 8 are emerged from the envelope member 4. The induction wires 7, 8 are supported by a stem 6 which is installed between the envelope member 4 and filament coil 5. A getter 9 is installed between the envelope member 4 and the stem 6.
