PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable optical component which is free of the breaking of an optical fiber due to temperature variation, etc. SOLUTION: A laser diode element 1 is fixed in a metallic package 9, the tip side of a lensed fiber 2 having a lens 3 formed on its tip side is inserted into a 1st ferrule 5 and fixed, and the 1st ferrule 5 is fixed to a base 10. On the rear end side of the 1st ferrule 5, a 2nd ferrule 6 is provided at an interval, and inserted into an insert part 20 of the package 9 and fixed, and a halfway part of the lensed fiber 2 is inserted into the 2nd ferrule 6 and fixed. At temperature lower than the upper-limit value of use ambient temperature, the lensed fiber 2 between the 1st ferrule 5 and 2nd ferrule 6 shown by (a) in Fig. 1 is given flexion 14 as a tensile stress imparting suppression means which suppresses the application of tensile stress exceeding a permissible range to the lensed fiber 2 between the 1st ferrule 5 and 2nd ferrule 6 at the upper-limit value of the use ambient temperature. |
