<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series hybrid type motor-driven vehicle which enables size reduction of a battery mounted on it. SOLUTION: A series hybrid type motor-driven vehicle has a battery remaining capacity detection means (battery remaining capacity detection unit 22) which detects the remaining capacity of a battery 4 and a charge control means (a mode decision unit 12) which controls an engine 7, so as to have the remaining capacity of the battery 4 within a range between predetermined upper and lower limit values to charge the battery 4 and so as to have the engine 4 operate continuously, until the remaining capacity of the battery 4 reaches the lower limit value, while a vehicle velocity is lower than a predetermined value.</p> |
