PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen angle of visibility of an LED element. SOLUTION: In an LED element, two chips 14 which emit light rays of the same color when energized, are arranged on both sides of a major axis 10 of a reflecting mirror 5, having an oval opening 7 at positions which are separated from each other by a prescribed distance along the major axis 10 inside the mirror 5. Since the chips 14 are arranged on both sides of the major axis 10, the hidden extent of the chip 14 by the mirror 5 is reduced, when the element 13a is viewed from the direction perpendicular to the major axis 10 and the angle of visibility, in which the chip 14 can be confirmed visually from the direction perpendicular to the axis 10, becomes wider.
