PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book without necessitating the thickness of a casing holding a display screen thicker and usable without incongruity sense with a book. SOLUTION: This electronic book is provided with casings 2, 3 open/close freely connected with a cylindrical binder part 18 and liquid crystal display screens 11, 12 on the casings 2, 3. Components having measure of thickness such as a control circuit 20, a drive circuit 30, a battery 41 and a connector 42 are housed in the central binder part 18. The binder part 18 has the thickness more than the sum of the casings 2, 3, and by collecting the components to the binder part 18, the casings 2, 3 may be the thinness only holding the liquid crystal display screens 11, 12.
