PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate directivity at the time of transmission using a linear array antenna and to lighten the load on a transmitting amplifier. SOLUTION: When user-multiplex directional transmission is performed by CDMA communication, a phase offset for adaptively setting antenna balance is determined. Consequently, antenna elements giving maximum or minimum amplitudes are securely dispersed to each of users. Consequently, the partiality of amplitudes to a specific antenna element can be relaxed and the load on the transmitting amplifier is reduced further.
