PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for warming a liquid crystal layer up to a phase transition temperature or higher by reducing influences by external static electricity and noise. SOLUTION: In the outer peripheral part of an LCD 1, a conductive pattern 2 is formed in a non-wiring area where a display pattern 3 is not formed. The conductive pattern 2 is grounded via an FPC 4. Since the grounded conductive pattern 2 is formed on the outer periphery of the LCD 1, it produces a shield effect against static electricity and noise, and even if the inner part is charged with electricity, it is possible to reduce the influence by the electric charges by discharging them into the ground side.
