The invention concerns a test bench module (1) comprising a test cell (4) for receiving an equipment to be tested, provided with means (10, 16) for reproducing operating conditions of the equipment and means for measuring the operating parameters of the equipment. Each test bench module is associated with a technical support module (2) located above it. Said module (2) comprises in particular means for circulating a heating medium in the test cell, for regulating thermal parameters while the equipment operates, and means for cooling said heating medium. The association of each test bench module (1) with its technical support module (2) advantageously constitutes a self-contained modular assembly adapted to be set up outdoors. An installation may include several such assemblies, the modules being individually transportable.
