PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent loss or illegality at the write of user data in a portable terminal in which user data are stored in a non-volatile memory. SOLUTION: An RAM 14 backed-up by a secondary battery 16 is provided with a user data storage area 14A and a flag 14B, and the flag is set as '1' during user data writing in a non-volatile memory 15, and the flag is set as '0' after the end of the user data writing. When power ON, if the flag 14B is '1', the user data of the RAM 14 are transferred to a non-volatile memory 15, and the flag is set as '0', and when the flag is '1', the user data of the non-volatile memory 15 are transferred to the area 14A of the RAM 14.
