PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer driver capable of generating a high torque, though being a thin type. SOLUTION: The driver comprises a pointer shaft 1 connected to a pointer P, a rotor magnet 2 fixed to the pointer shaft 1, a plurality of (first and second) coils 4, 5 opposed at the rotary periphery of the rotor magnet 2 for exerting a rotating force on the rotor magnet 2 when being magnetized by energizing, and a yoke (annular) 6 disposed outside the coils 4, 5 for guiding the magnetic path of the coils 4, 5.
