PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser output setting method used for an optical disk recording/reproducing device capable of recording a signal on the disk by a laser beam emitted from an optical pickup. SOLUTION: In this optical disk recording/reproducing device constituted so as to record the signal on the disk by the laser beam emitted from a laser element which is driven by the pulse signal, a peak level and a bottom level of the pulse signal are arranged so as to be set based on an erase level carrying out the erase operation. |
