PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric resonator with built-in load capacitor in a structure capable of surely positioning a piezoelectric vibrator and a capacitor onto a base plate. SOLUTION: A base plate 1 has first and second recessed grooves 101 and 102 on one side. A piezoelectric vibrator 20 is provided with vibrating electrodes 201 and 202 on both opposite main sides of a piezoelectric substrate 200 and positioned inside the first recessed groove 101 so that both main sides can be vertical to one side of the base plate 1. A capacitor 21 is provided with two capacitors composed of the same dielectric substrate 210 and positioned inside the second recessed groove 102. The piezoelectric vibrator 20 and the capacitor 21 are electrically connected on the base plate 1.
