PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable terminal equipment for emergency call system which is constituted in such a way that the switch of an emergency call originating button and the main body of the equipment are positioned to different locations of a vehicle and connected to each other through a conductor and the grounds of the switch and main body are connected to different body portions of the vehicle to accurately identify the four stated of the emergency call originating button, namely, the abnormal states caused by the disconnection and short- circuiting of the conductor and the turning on/off operations of the switch. SOLUTION: The four states of an emergency call originating button 3 can be identified accurately when the potential difference among the detected states is maintained at >=1 V even when the potential difference between the ground of a switch 31 and that of the equipment body 1 for emergency call system is 20% in maximum by setting the values of resistors R1, R2, and R4 to meet the relations (R2+R3)/(R1+R2+R3)<3/4 and R3/(R1+R3)<1/2.
