PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead wire sealing structure, and a gas sensor using it, in which good sealing performance can be sustained for a long term even when it is exposed to high temperature for a long time or subjected to heat cycle repeatedly. SOLUTION: The part 510 including an insertion hole fixing face 510 in a lead wire insertion hole 51a at a grommet 51 for inserting a lead wire 14 comprises a part 51b formed of a porous material and the gap between the insertion hole fixing face 510 and the outer surface of the lead wire 14 is sealed by a sealing resin layer 53. More specifically, on the adhesion face of the part 51b formed of a porous material and the sealing resin layer 53, the gap k of the porous material exposed to the surface of the insertion hole fixing face 510 at the part 51b formed of a porous material (i.e., irregularities on the insertion hole fixing face 510) is filled with the sealing resin layer 53. |
