The shears (1) have two handles spring loaded towards their open positions. Cutting blades (111,121) extend on the opposite side of the hinge from the handles. Holes (112,122) in the upper and lower blades accommodate pins (5,6) which hold toothed gripping jaws (3,4). The lower jaw may be firmly fixed, while the upper jaw holds a spring loaded jaw which may perform a small movement relative to the blade.
