<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize power supplied via a connecting interface capable of supplying power. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 is composed of function blocks A-E performing mutually different functions, and power is supplied from a power source control circuit 214 to each block separately. When a personal computer(PC) 21 is connected via a communication I/F 213 being a USB interface, a control part 215 confirms electric power which can be supplied from the PC 21 through communicating with the PC 21 and makes a power source control circuit 214 supply power from the PC 21 to the prescribed function blocks A-E on the basis of the confirmed result. Since power is supplied to all or some of function blocks which can be driven corresponding to the electric power which can be supplied, the power supplied form the PC 21 can be utilized effectively.</p> |
