<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet multiplexer capable of transmitting data via a backup line without making a network user feel a network fault, even in the case that a fault is generated in a private line. SOLUTION: This controller is provided with a communication state monitoring means for detecting the presence/absence of the fault of the private line between transmission destination equipment by the presence/absence of a response from the transmission destination equipment to transmission data, connecting the transmission destination equipment by using the backup line at the time of detecting the fault of the private line and continuing the transmission of succeeding data including the data made to wait for response confirmation, without disconnecting a communication path with the transmission destination equipment, before the fault is generated.</p> |
