PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash light emitting device easily assembled by forming an extending part on an elastic member for fixing a discharge tube in a reflector. SOLUTION: The extending parts 16c projected in a width direction are formed on both sides of the insertion hole 16a of the elastic member 16 for fixing the discharge tube 14 in the reflector 12. In the case of attaching the member 16 in the tube 14, either one of projected parts of the tube 14 projected from the reflector 12 is made to pass through either one of insertion holes 16b of the member 16. Then, by holding the extending parts 16c of the member 16 and pulling the member 16 in a longitudinal direction, the projected part on the other side of the tube 14 is made to pass through the insertion hole 16a on the other side. By holding the extending part 16c and pulling the member 16, the deformation of the insertion hole 16a is restrained and the tube 14 is made to pass the hole 16a.
