PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a compound lens in multilayered structure by directly forming a preform on a lens, cementing it directly across a rough surface, and using a difference in transition temperature. SOLUTION: This method has a step for forming a 1st lens with an optical surface, a step for forming a rough surface at the periphery of the optical surface of the 1st lens, a step for forming a lens preform and arranging it on the optical surface, and a step for forming a 2nd lens (i.e., lens set) by using the 1st lens as a mold for the lens preform through a high-temperature process and cementing the 1st lens and the lens preform into one across the rough surface at the periphery of the optical surface; and the transition temperature of the 1st lens is made higher than that of the lens preform and when the high- temperature process is performed, the 1st lens as the mold is prevented from deforming.
