PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autohandler for TAB having high processing capacity and a processing method thereof by disposing a plurality of sorters in the rear of a measuring section and performing measurement and sorting of IC chips constantly in parallel. SOLUTION: In the TAB handler 1, a TAB tape arranged with a plurality of IC chips at a constant interval by means of sprockets 3a, 3b is carried intermittently in a predetermined direction in units of the arranging interval of the IC chips. Two IC chips arriving at specified positions are measured simultaneously at a measuring section 4 and then the first IC chip is sorted by a sorter 5a and the second IC chip is sorted by a sorter 5b. The measuring/sorting process is executed repeatedly for all IC chips to be tested on the TAB tape.
