PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a receiving apparatus which maintains a low power consumption, which obtains continuous navigation data even when a system is changed over and by which a satellite signal can be captured and processed at high speed. SOLUTION: When a system A 10 is operated, capture support information which is required for capturing a GPS satellite signal is stored peridically in a nonvolatile memory 15. When a system A 10 is changed over to a system B 20, a positioning and capturing part 23 in the system B 20 accesses the nonvolatile memory 15 in the system A 10 so as to read out the capture support information. Then, the positioning and capturing part 23 in the system B 20 captures the GPS satellite signal on the basis of the read-out capture support information, and it computes navigation data.
