PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp the distance between a base station and a subscriber station, when the subscriber station is set in a WLL system using a time division multiplex system for a radio section. SOLUTION: In this wireless local loop system, a radio relay station (base station) is provided with a GPS receiving means, a position information detecting means, calculating a installation position on the basis of an output of the GPS receiving means and a controlling means notifying each subscriber station of the installation position through a radio channel, and each subscriber station, is provided with a storing means storing the position information of its own station, an operating means calculating a distance to the radio relay station, on the basis of the position information received from the radio relay station and the position information of its own station and a setting means setting slot timing, on the basis of the calculated distance.
