The steering installation (9) for a sports boat involves a projection (12) connected with a steering head (8) engaging in a recess (11) of a rudder (10). Along the movement path limited by the recess, the rudder by means of a draw cable (13) is movable from a usage position immersed in the water surface into a rest position on the after deck (3). A pretensioned spring component (15) makes possible, after release of the draw cable, the automatic counter movement into the usage position.
