Color photographic material has light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer(s) on a base and contains color coupler(s) and compound(s) comprising N-(het)aryl-N'-(6-oxo- or 6-thio-1,3-oxazin- or -1,3-thiazin--2-yl)-hydrazine(s) (I) or condensed 1,2-diazine or 1,2-diazole compound(s) (II). Color photographic material has light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer(s) on a base and contains color coupler(s) and compound(s) comprising N-(het)aryl-N'-(6-oxo- or 6-thio-1,3-oxazin- or -1,3-thiazin--2-yl)-hydrazine(s) (I) or condensed 1,2-diazine or 1,2-diazole compound(s) (II) of the formulae; X1, Y1 = oxygen (O) or sulfur (S); Z1 = (substituted) (het)aryl; R<1>, R<2> = substituents or together complete a 5-7-membered nonmetallic ring; X2 = carbonyl (-C(=O)-, sulfonyl (-SO2-) or sulfinyl (-SO-); L1 = a single bond, O, imino (NR<4>) or alkylene (CR<5>R<6>); R<4>, R<5>, R<6> = hydrogen (H); or, if X2 = -CO- and L1 = -NR<4>-, R<4>, R<5>, R<6> = H or alkyl. An Independent claim is also included for the production of color photographic by developing the exposed material thermally or by treatment with an alkaline activator bath.
