The aerial towing system has a cable(21) connected to a banner(20), and an additional cable(29) with an arrester ring(30) at one end. The additional cable by means an additional arrester unit(12) on the towing aircraft(10) is carried along in flypast and is connected to the first cable and banner unit. The additional cable provides an electrical connection between a power source in the aircraft and an electrical user device outside the aircraft and which may be used to illuminate the banner. Independent claims are included for a towing aircraft with the proposed aerial towing system, and for a procedure for connecting a banner to the proposed aerial towing system.
