PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which improves the appearance of a ceiling area around the body thereof. SOLUTION: A lighting device comprises a body 2 having a light source 4 for lighting downwardly which is mounted to an opening O formed in the ceiling P, and a ceiling forming member 3 having a ring-shape, wherein an inner periphery of the ceiling forming member is fitted into a space between the body 2 and a lower face Pa of the ceiling P. The ceiling forming member P is characterized with a decorating member 3b which covers a portion of the lower face Pa of the ceiling P around the lighting device 2.
